Bathing your English Springer Spaniel should be a priority. If
you're careless in bathing, the animal may end up with some infections. For
example, if you dont close the ears with large cotton balls, water may
enter into the ear canal and may cause an ear infection. You know you might
have this problem when your English Springer Spaniel shakes its head
allot.
You probably should bathe your English Springer Spaniel once
every six to eight weeks. Too frequently bathing can cause the skin and coat to
loose the protective characters. However, if your dog has defecated on the skin
due to a frequent digestive upsets leading to diarrhea, to avoid the bad smell,
the dog may be subjected to more frequent bathing.

avoiding some irritant soaps or human soaps. The soap used for human beings are
not suitable for dogs. Similarly, many human shampoo products have ingredients
that are not suitable to be used with dogs. Hence, always try to use the
shampoo products that are specially formulated for dogs. Always take a little
more care when using any new product.

start bathing your dog. Have a leash, conditioner, towel, and shampoo handy
before starting. Conditioner is also helpful to make combing easier later.
