Purchasing durable dog bath tubs with a collar system

Every dog owner needs a place where they can bathe their dog. Even if you have your dog groomed on a regular basis you may need to clean up a pouch who has rolled in the dirt too many times. Often folks like to have a special dog bathtub that is only used for their dog instead of using the family tub. Using a special bathtub just for dogs has many advantages. When you bathe your dog at home you can have a lot in grooming costs. Having a dog bathtub also means that your dog won’t be putting scratches in your tub and leaving a dirty ring around the tub.

You will need to know what size of bathtub you will need for your dog. You will need to measure your dog’s length and height to get a tub which is a good fit for the size of your dog. The best dog bath tubs will have a collar restraint system to keep your dog in place while you are bathing him. Dog bathtubs come in several different types. You can look at the various features you would like once you know the size that you need.

Features worth taking a look at include a hand held nozzle, temperature and flow control, and a drainage system. You can even find portable dog bathtubs which are easy to store when they are not in use. Your furry friend will most likely be nervous the first couple of times you use your new dog bathtub.

The more you use it the quicker your dog will become comfortable. When washing your dog try and avoid any sudden movements. The best procedure is to start with the head and finish around the tail. Do not spray water in your dog’s ears or face when you are rinsing him. Before you remove the collar restraint dry the dog as much as possible.
